Roma, 12 febbraio – “Norwegian, inaspettatamente e senza nemmeno consultarsi con le organizzazioni Sindacali, ha deciso di lasciare centinaia dei propri dipendenti basati in Italia in mezzo alla strada, insieme alle loro famiglie, nel bel mezzo di una pandemia globale”
La dura reazione congiunta di Filt CGIL, Fit Cisl e Uiltrasporti scaturita dal comportamento del management norvegese il quale “ha semplicemente deciso di scomparire, agendo come se i dipendenti basati a Roma Fiumicino non fossero mai stati parte di Norwegian, nonostante abbiano contribuito al successo della compagnia con passione e professionalità negli anni”, Proseguono le Organizzazioni sindacalii, “avevamo semplicemente chiesto a Norwegian di attivare gli ammortizzatori sociali messi a disposizione dall’ordinamento italiano per proteggere e tutelare il reddito dei lavoratori, specialmente in questo momento di crisi senza precedenti. Invece la società non si è nemmeno presentata all’incontro programmato. Hanno partecipato solo i loro legali, i quali ci hanno informato che Norwegian aveva già avviato da alcuni giorni la procedura di liquidazione in Irlanda della società da cui dipendono i lavoratori italiani”.
Il disappunto nelle parole dei rappresentanti “Questo è il trattamento che Norwegian ha riservato ai propri dipendenti basati in Italia, i quali hanno sempre sostenuto la società, anche nei momenti più difficili. Trattati come “RedNoseWarriors” finché c’è stato bisogno del loro supporto sui social, e poi abbandonati a loro stessi non appena fosse venuta meno la loro utilità”.
I dipendenti Norwegian terranno a breve una manifestazione presso la Reale Ambasciata Norvegese a Roma.
